Embracing Change: The Journey from Root-Bound to Free

Chapter 1: The Missing Pieces
In my experience, I've come to realize that our struggles and dissatisfaction often stem not from what is wrong, but from what is absent in our lives. These missing components create voids within our hearts, minds, and spirits, akin to a puzzle with missing pieces.
Recently, I made the life-altering choice to leave a house I had called home for 24 years. Being intuitive, I have always sensed the energy that various places and structures embody. My previous home was a lovely space—bright and spacious, with a unique character, albeit divided into many small rooms rather than an open layout. It was a place where seven dogs lived fulfilling lives, four of whom sadly passed away there. My children grew up in that house, experiencing everything from music and sports to the challenges of homework and memorable celebrations.
As my kids began to leave for their own paths, I started to feel a disconnect with the house. The atmosphere shifted from one of warmth to an unsettling chaos. The neighborhood evolved, and I felt increasingly out of place. My spirit sensed a looming danger if we continued to stay. I engaged in various practices—prayer, smudging with white sage, and meditation—searching for clarity.
And then it hit me: something essential was missing.
In America, we often yearn for vacations—working hard to save for time away—yet many fail to cultivate a lifestyle that feels vacation-like within their own homes. This leads to feelings of stagnation.
People often become stuck, overwhelmed by the thought of moving. As the clutter accumulates, both physically and emotionally, they may remain paralyzed until change seems impossible. Over time, this can result in declining health and increased isolation.
The cycle typically begins with an attachment to a house, then a room, and eventually to a bed—this encapsulates the essence of surrendering to stagnation.
Transformation doesn't necessarily require financial resources. Instead, it demands courage to release items and memories that no longer serve us. By decluttering our surroundings, we can also begin to clear our minds.
Amidst the daunting prospect of change, I took a leap of faith. I knew that once I let go of my old home, it would no longer be mine. While the future felt uncertain, I sensed there was still another adventure waiting for me. Signs started to emerge—options that had fallen through led me to a quaint farmhouse in a small town. Remarkably, my previous home sold in just five hours.
However, doubt crept in as I watched the moving pod fill up with my belongings. In the midst of prayer, seeking reassurance, I spotted a reflection of a luminous cross and angel wings. Perhaps it was mere coincidence, but the images of light and rainbows seemed to guide my way.
Now, I enjoy a newfound tranquility without the incessant barking of neighbor dogs or the sounds of traffic. Instead, I’m surrounded by nature’s melodies—bullfrogs, birds, and gentle breezes. The stars shine brighter than ever, outshining any screen.
This new chapter is simple and filled with wonder, allowing me the freedom I longed for.
Be well and love fiercely!
