In today's digital landscape, sharing content often feels like shouting into an endless void, surrounded by countless others doing the same. The sameness is palpable: identical outfits, blurred faces, and recycled ideas abound. This repetition can be exhausting for both those who write and those who read.
Artificial intelligence can produce similar content in mere moments, utilizing well-known techniques to create engaging material. They can do it faster and arguably with more finesse. This raises a question: why should I—an ordinary human—bother to contribute?
For me, writing is a source of comfort and tranquility. Each character I craft nourishes my spirit in ways I can't fully articulate. Perhaps this is why humanity has engaged in storytelling for millennia: it brings us joy. The thrill of connecting with even a single individual through our words is exhilarating.
Yet, relying solely on AI for content creation feels disingenuous. While it may not deprive the audience of quality, it certainly takes something away from the creator. What meaningful connection exists when the creation process is bypassed?
Engaging in the latest AI tools often leaves me uneasy. It feels as though I'm shortchanging my readers and viewers. That said, I'm not completely against technology. I recognize that AI can assist in mundane tasks, like generating basic designs in software or crafting sentences.
Finding the right balance between AI-generated and human-created content is crucial, but I'm uncertain where that balance lies or how to achieve it. I hope there will be a force strong enough to preserve the essence of "creative works" that are genuinely "by humans, for humans."

In a recent conversation, someone close to me expressed concern that "Junior and Mid-level software engineers are at risk of losing their jobs." This thought triggered a wave of self-doubt and anxiety.
While current AI capabilities are limited to generating snippets of code, it's not hard to envision a future where entire codebases or architecture diagrams are produced at the command of a simple request. This prompts me to question the value of my hard-earned tech skills if machines will ultimately take over.
I suspect that this technological shift will distinguish those truly passionate about technology from those merely seeking financial gain. After all, why invest time in learning app development from scratch if we can simply instruct machines to do it for us? This mirrors the computer vision field: why delve into the mathematics behind image processing when machine learning pipelines can yield superior results?
The sheer volume of applications being churned out today resembles an endless TikTok feed, with many created to optimize short-term gains rather than considering long-term benefits. If creating apps becomes as straightforward as ordering coffee, the influx of new applications could be overwhelming.
However, there is another perspective. Increased access to application development through AI might lead to more projects driven by altruism, resulting in applications with a focus on global benefits.
The prospect of a future where machines communicate and collaborate excites me but also fills me with trepidation. I can only hope that the individuals guiding these technologies do so with empathy and compassion for everyday people.
