As the saying goes, "A picture is worth a thousand words." In today's world, the right instructional video can be worth thousands of dollars when applied correctly. I will guide you on how to generate thousands, even hundreds of thousands, in a matter of months rather than decades.
Currently, I operate a successful branding agency, recognized as one of the top 20 packaging design firms globally according to Clutch.co. I often earn thousands in a single day, yet an additional couple of thousand dollars monthly can be a tremendous boost, especially for those looking to improve their financial situation quickly.

After approximately 6 hours, I was crafting my first videos, utilizing various effects, and layering visuals. I then sought to master text, masking, and sound.

Once you grasp the fundamentals and begin mastering effects, lighting, sound, and masking, McKinnon's quick tutorials will elevate your skills. You can achieve a solid foundation in just 7 hours!
At this point, I was generating videos for Hydro Shred. A few days in, I wondered if I was ready to take on paying projects.
Practical Application:
Quality video content is vital, so I recommend subscribing to Envato Elements for around $10 per month, which provides access to countless videos, fonts, images, and effects to create stunning content.
I capitalized on my Envato Elements subscription and started building a portfolio with diverse video clips. When I approached a client with ten ready videos, I casually mentioned, "By the way, we now offer video services."
"Perfect! I need a video done ASAP!" was their response. I charged $3,000 for a three-minute video, which took me 7 hours to complete.
Within three months, I created:
- Intro web video and social media content for a protein brand: $2,500
- Intro web video for an essential oil brand: $1,500
- Video for a film label: $4,000
- Intro web video for a nutrition bar brand: $1,500
- Intro web video for a skincare brand: $1,500

Although freelancing presents its challenges, you can easily supplement your income by earning between $500 to $2,000 monthly with just a few hours of effort after your day job. Each new tutorial allows me to learn new skills rapidly, including animation in After Effects and app design without coding—there's so much potential!
Can you achieve $15,000 in three months? Absolutely! I spend minimal time on video creation compared to my other agency work. For those willing to dive in full-time, the earnings can surpass most service job salaries, providing significant flexibility.
